How Medical Outreach Helps Patients
Our Medical Outreach team helps patients apply for grants, Social Security Disability Insurance and VA benefits. They also answer health insurance questions and assist with insurance issues and appeals.
They help patients modify insurance plans for better coverage and assist them in finding supplemental insurance to cover the 20% of out-of-pocket expenses Medicare does not cover.
The team sends a customized information packet to patients. It contains a medical record organizer, mesothelioma books, a checklist of all the resources available to them and more.
These resources help patients understand their options for treatment and how to pay for it. Cancer treatment is expensive, and there are ways people diagnosed with mesothelioma can access compensation. Lawsuits, asbestos trust funds and VA benefits help families afford oncology care.
